gallery b is a small, carefully curated, contemporary art gallery located in the village of Castine on the coast of Maine. 2026 will be our 18th season!
We exhibit fine artwork by over 70 artists, from established international artists to emerging local artists, in rotating exhibitions. We also manufacture artist-made and artist-designed items for your everyday enjoyment.
We offer art consulation and specialty art services: advising on art collection, management, help finding/sourcing what you need, installation, shipping/delivery, framing advice, project management, and working with other industry professionals. Reach out with any questions.
We sponsor the presence of visiting artists in our community in partnership with Annex Arts Artist Residency Program. Proceeds from our special events, such as our annual Small Works Show, provide much-needed funding to support the professional development of artists through our Visiting Artist Program, which brings artists to our community and provides studios, accommodations, stipends, and opportunities to interact with the community in meaningful ways.
We are a gallery run by artists and women. In everything we do we keep in mind acting for the benefit of people working in the arts, artists in general, and for the benefit of our local community in Castine and on the Blue Hill Peninsula. We are committed to running our business with integrity, and a commitment to artistic excellence and working toward the greater good.
