Earthsea

Kicked off by the opening of new work by Annex Arts’ Artist-in-Residence, Hannah Bureau, and continued with new work from several gallery artists, Gallery B.’s sixth show of the season, Earthsea will open on August 9.

The name is borrowed from writer Ursula K. Le Guin in homage to the place name in the brilliant Earthsea series, The show will offer works of abstraction and landscape, reflecting everything under the sun: but especially focused on this place, its weather, and all the elements that make up this extraordinary location.

On display will be works made by Hanna Bureau shown in the Annex, and will be  joined in gallery b by the works of Hannah Burr, Louise Bourne, Viktor Butko, Kelly Carmody, Sara MacCulloch, Chrissy Nickerson, Shelley Mansel, Amy Bernhardt, and more.

Earthsea opens with a reception at Annex Arts, 8 Water Street, on Friday, August 9, from 5 to 7 pm. The exhibit will then move to Gallery B. and remain on display through August 16.
